BlastGard Pipe Bomb Mitigator

• The BlastGard Pipe Bomb Mitigator consists of a hollow fibre cylinder and blanket that can be rapidly placed over any small IED, such as a pipe bomb, grenade, cluster bomblet or 1/2kg TNT.
• Designed to easily fit into a small room or the boot of a police car, bomb squad vehicle etc. for immediate access by the first responder to immediately render any suspect device scene safe

• •The cylinder top is covered by a seperate bomb blanket, the blanket and cylinder wall are lined with BlastWrap? which dramatically reduces blast pressures and quenches the fireball.
• •The PBM eleminates the hazard posed by a suspicious package from the point of discovery to the moment of neutralisation by the bomb squad.
• •Forensic evidence & collection - following a detonation or neutralisation, virtually all the pieces of the device will be in or around the cylinder and blanket. It is also possible to x-ray the PBM.
